What is Vakay?
Vakay is a platform where users can upload their properties for rent. Our only requirement is that the property must be available for stays of 1 month and longer. Users can then submit a booking request for the property and book it online. As a standard Vakay requests guests to pay 1 month rent in advance + 1 month security deposit to cover the host in case of damage to the property. Vakay is built for hosts who are looking to go on holiday for a few months and earn a bit of extra income from their property while they are away.
Why use Vakay?
Our number 1 priority is safety. Vakay exists to help people make a bit of extra money from their properties in a safe way. We do this by having verified users book the properties. When speaking to our over 50 hosts, their number 1 requirement was that users looked after their property. This is why we introduced our secured deposits product. As standard we ask for 1 month deposit from all our guests. This is held by Vakay until the end of the stay and then returned.
Who is Vakay for?
Vakay is used by people relocating for work, long term digital nomads, people looking to explore cities for an extended period of time and many other reasons. If you're relocating for work it can be difficult to find long term accommodation from your current home. Vakay allows you to book a property for a couple of months which then gives you time to find a permanent housing.
How does Vakay work?
As a guest, just find a property you like, submit a booking request and book the property through the platform. If you're a host, create an account, upload your property and wait for the booking requests to roll in!
